Certification

Certification is simply meeting a recognised standard and having the results recorded.

In life at risk activities it is important that you know, for sure, what you can do and maybe more importantly, what you can't do. It is a process of qualification and this process is ongoing.

Certification

means a course participant has met (or not) a recognized standard and has had the results recorded by an accredited third-party group. Ultimately, the accreditation/certification body is the court system.

Accreditation

means that a course, a program or an organization has been assessed to meet a standard by an independant third party of court recognized subject matter experts like the International Rescue Instructors Authority (IRIA)
